Definition Selector Telephone Switch

A device with switching facilities designed to move over a number of terminals to which are connected groups of circuits in order to select a particular group of circuits in accordance with signals received over the circuit associated with this selector and then to choose from the group an idle circuit and connect to it the circuit associated with this selector.
