Definition Automat Telephone Central Office

A telephone office having among its characteristics, switching facility for connecting different types of subscribers, either voice or data. Also provides the necessary control signals allowing interfacing with any other central office within the network. Includes a collection of items, both numerous parallel electronic switching equipment and other electronic equipment. Excludes central office, telephone, dial and central office, telephone, manual.
