Definition Signal Data Translator

An item that processes a restricted bandwidth data modulated signal received on a wide band carrier frequency, to a standardized single radio frequency, and conversely processes a locally generated data modulated signal within a restricted bandwidth to a standardized single radio frequency, for transmission within the restricted bandwidth on any incremental frequency on the wide band carrier frequency.
