The enhanced combat optical sigh (ecos) is a commercial off the shelf item manuf. By elcan optical techolnolos. The ecos is a 3.4 power telscope sight, which mounts to the mil-std 1913 rail interface system and is used with weapons that fire 7.62mm ammunition. The sight consists of the optical housing and mount assembly. The optics are sealed in a protective hardened housing and protected by a rubber cover. Theoptical housing contains a 28 mm objective lens and a 3.8 mm diameter exit pupil providing excellent vision in low light levels. The sight is effective at short. Intermediate and long ranges the sight incorporates an led light that illuminates the aiming point under low light conditoins. The sight reticle consists of a cross hair and horizontal stadia lines for shooting at various ranges. The sight optics have no internal surfaces that will relect laser interrogation
A telescope which is affixed to a weapon to provide viewing parallel to the direction of the gun bore line. It is designed with a rigidly held eyepiece and with movable sectional tubes connected by geared joints. The angles of reflective optical elements adjust automatically to provide a line of sight through the telescope as the gun tube is elevated or depressed.
