Definition Electrical Bonding Ring

An item of metallic composition, usually round and flat with a center hole or slotted hole designed to accommodate an electrical cable or conduit, and which, when used in conjunction with a cable clamp or similar locking device, completes a positive bond between the cable or conduit fitting, such as connectors, adapters, and couplings, and the cable or conduit shield and/or individual conductor shield(s).
