Definition Triadic Display Indicator

An indicator for producing the illusion of the three-dimensional display of data such as azimuth, bearing, elevation, position, and/or range of a target on the face of a cathode ray tube. The three-dimensional display is produced by the injection of color contrast by means of electronic circuitry. Excludes indicators that utilize or include optical filters for the accentuation or suppression of display characteristics.
